It is 57 years today since Isabella went missing, please keep her family in your thoughts 🙏🏻 ANNIVERSARY APPEAL - ISABELLA SKELTON Isabella Skelton was 35 years old when she went missing on 6 June 1969 from Manchester. The mother-of-three left her family home in Lidiard Street, Crumpsall and disappeared without a trace. Born in Anderston, Glasgow on 21 January 1934, Isabella (nee McDowall) went to school at Anderston Cross and had a friend called Anna Owen. She married Lewis Skelton in July 1952. The couple lived on Carnoustie Street near the town centre and went on to have three children. The family moved to Greater Manchester in the early 1960’s, first living in Salford then moving to Crumpsall. Isabella (also known as Izzy) worked at the Atlas Express courier company, based in Salford when they first relocated. At the time of her disappearance, the mother-of-three was working at Gallagher Cigarettes and Ball Bearings Services. The Skelton children grew up with the belief their mother had gone abroad to work. Lewis told them she would be away for a while, but the 35-year-old was never seen again. In 2019, Linda discovered her mother had never officially been reported missing., so she contacted Greater Manchester Police, who began investigating Isabella’s disappearance. A year later, the force released an age-progressed image of what she would look like at that time. If you have any information, call Greater Manchester Police on 101. If you would prefer to remain anonymous, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their online reporting service (link below). SATURDAY SHARE - SHAUN RITCHIE Shaun Ritchie was 20 years old when he went missing on 31 October 2014 from Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire in Scotland after a night out with friends. He was last seen running from a farmhouse near woodland between Strichen and the A98 Fraserburgh to Banff road. Described as 5ft 9in and of slim build, with mousey brown hair, pale complexion and blue eyes. Shaun was wearing a white t-shirt, grey hooded top, grey skinny jeans and brown trainers. A few days after Shaun disappeared his hooded top, belt and trainers were found near the farmhouse. It is totally out of character for him not to get in touch with his parents. For this reason, they believe he came to harm that night. Police have found no evidence of criminality, yet foul-play cannot be ruled out, but it remains a missing person investigation. A £10,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can provide intelligence that leads to the location of Shaun. All information will be dealt with in confidence. Please email findshaunritchie@gmail.com. If you have any information that could help the investigation, phone Police Scotland on 101. If you would prefer to remain anonymous, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their online reporting service (link below).
