I love coming back to comments like this a year later. 😂 At the time, I had lost 20 pounds in 5 weeks. This man, who had never met me, didn’t know my age, my hormones, my medical history, my blood sugar, my insulin resistance, my goals, or anything else about me, confidently explained that I was losing weight wrong. Apparently I needed to manipulate my estrogen levels with cardio and worry about a “lethal state of ketosis.” Fast forward a year: ✅ 140 pounds lost ✅ Diabetes reversed ✅ Better metabolic health ✅ Did exactly what I was doing in that video And honestly? This is one of the reasons I’m so passionate about helping women understand THEIR bodies. Women’s metabolism isn’t a copy-and-paste formula. What worked for a 35-year-old man, a 60-year-old man, your neighbor, your sister, or your favorite influencer isn’t automatically what’s going to work for you. Too many women have spent decades being told what they should do instead of learning how to understand the signals their own body is sending. The funniest part is that the comment aged terribly. The most important part is that it reminds me why I do what I do. 👑 The internet is a magical place.

I thought I was prepared for this. I’ve spent years raising three children to be amazing, wonderful human beings, which they are. And helping them to build a life they love. But nobody really prepares you for the day your child moves out. I’m proud of her. So incredibly proud of her. But that doesn’t make it easy. The old me would have eaten my feelings today. Instead, I’m letting myself feel them. And honestly? That’s growth too. 💖 Sometimes healing isn’t about being strong. Sometimes it’s about staying present when your heart hurts. 👑

I didn’t want to walk today. Not even for five minutes. But I’ve learned something after losing 140 pounds: Motivation is unreliable. Momentum is everything. So today I put my shoes on, walked for five minutes, and kept the promise I made to myself. Not because five minutes burns a ton of calories. Because five minutes turns “I’ll start tomorrow” into “I started today.” That’s how change happens. One walk. One meal. One choice at a time.

Took the day off today. My daughter’s best friend said, “Let’s go to the beach,” and I said, “Hell yeah.” I packed up my hard boiled eggs, sandwich meat, cheese, and hit the road. I haven’t been to the beach in years, and I forgot how much my soul feels at home here. The sound of the waves, the salt air, the breeze… it’s like my nervous system finally unclenched. Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is disappear for a day and remember you’re alive. I sorely needed this. 💙🌊
