Today was the first day of our short story unit, we started by using "Min Jee's Lunch" as an anchor text. I had several students ask when we were going to get to read the rest of Min Jee's story. What should I tell them, @teachntransform?

It's hard to describe the immense amount of relief I feel at the mere possibility of holding the upcoming administration accountable. Critique and constructive criticism has been a non-starter for the past 4 years. To have that back is indescribable.

A3: By understanding what personal/institutionalized racism is we can work to recognize it and dismantle it. Understanding identity is understanding that not everyone's identity fits in the imaginary box created by those in the dominant culture #TBIARBookClub

Q2: Part 1 focuses in on identity, how do you think identity relates to teaching or working in a school? #TBIARBookClub

A2: No matter how large or small the school, there are going to be a variety of identities. It is important (for Ts and Ss) that those identities are represented in what they are learning in the classroom (1/2)
