Twitter once served a purpose for me, I shared classrooms learning, explorations and discoveries. It was a place to connect, with families, with educators. It was a place of shared connection and celebration.
It no longer serves a purpose, it has become a place of hate and vitriol that I will no longer be a part of. When my news feed is filled with more good than bad, more false than true and more hatred than heartwarming I know it is time to take my leave and go.
@HolyCrossElem is inviting #NLschools to remember the life of Lincoln Walsh who passed away tragically on Oct 18. On Monday, October 23, the school is inviting students to wear their sports jerseys to honour Lincoln's love of team play, family and friends. bit.ly/405DjOw
today we answered questions about ourselves and then made connections by finding out what we have in common & physically linking our hexagons together - every single student found something in common with at least one other person in their class #classroomculture#teacherlife
As the sun sets on summer I am looking forward to the new school year, to continued growth and opportunities, to reflection and connection, to smiling faces and welcoming spaces @stpetersprim_mp
Hanging out at hockey rinks for the next few weeks, so many friends from @stpetersprim_mp buzzing around on the ice! Be sure to say hi, it’s hard to recognize some of you with all your gear. @NLGrowlers
audible.ca/pd/B0C1ZXFCZF?sou… Just finished listening to “The Beekeeper” and getting ready for a second listen for some note-taking and plan making, the Bee Mindset will be my plan “growing Forward”… #beemindset @leadersfables
It has been a quiet year for me on Twitter, I’ve been making plans for a more focussed and intentional return to this space in September, but this is too important not to retweet…
The NLESD is grateful for the encouragement from the community for inclusive education. Our leadership will be at Confederation Building tomorrow in a show of support for all of our students/staff. We condemn the hatred directed at our schools, most recently at @StMattsTigers
This…this is what I wish each and every one of our Tigers as they head into Summer. Your own perfect summer, whatever that might look like! @StTeresasSchoo1
