Fears to Fathom: Scratch Creekโs score on the Morvyn Meter: 5/10.
I was hoping this game wouldnโt follow the same formula that (almost) every F2F episode had followed previously, but I was unfortunately wrong. Aside from the VERY overused story formula this game follows (character is going about their day > suddenly bad thing happens > hiding sequence > chase sequence > ending), Scratch Creek has an okay story, but it put both players in an EXTREMELY uncomfortable situation that honestly just made me wanna close the game.
I like the multiplayer aspect, and it wasnโt TOO janky. Also, I liked that this game had full voice acting!! Always great to see!
Last note: That ending is one of the worst endings I have EVER seen in an F2F experience. Traditionally, an F2F game has one final chase sequence, but Scratch Creek hasโฆ *checks my VOD again* three of them. In the span of like, five minutes, u have to survive three chase sequences, no flashlight, no directions. Itโs a mess. And whatโs the payoff? There is none. The characters drive away, and the game ends.
