What an honor to receive the Onslow County Tech Savvy Teacher of the Year award. This year may have been a challenge but it was great. My Ss were awesome, & this was a great way to end the year. Thank you @OnslowSchools & @SBMSPIRATES for this award. Thanks also to @MicrosoftEDU

Week 5 of summer adventures we finished our energy debates. No videos/pictures unfortunately. My Ss did an excellent job researching their own energy source & the cons of the other ones to prepare for the debate. The last day we did class vs class all together. @OnslowSchools

Week 4 of summer school adventures Ss watched @Flocabulary about the Flint, Michigan water crisis and @edpuzzle videos on water quality. Ss then researched to created a water quality brochure using the rubric on @MicrosoftTeams.

Part 2: Week 3 of summer adventures at @SturgeonCityNC we looked at the water quality of the New River by observing the amount of wildlife. We may have also fished & crabbed. One student had never been finishing & caught her first fish! @OnslowSchools @SBMSPIRATES

Week 2 of summer adventures we examined the periodic table. Ss created a poster & a @Flipgrid QR code so others could learn about their element. They had to include basic information, physical & chemical properties, Bohr model & Lewis structure.(posters hung as period table)

Finished our group matching activity hybrid style thanks to @MicrosoftTeams & @msonenote. We created breakout rooms on our live call & used the collaboration space to work simultaneously. Great math discourse today! @OnslowSchools @SBMSPIRATES #mathchat #teamworkmakesthedreamwork

Last night I had a dream that @BarackObama was my new co-teacher in my inclusion class. He was dressed in a full suit. I introduced him as "Mr. Obama" then corrected myself after a quick look. Everyone, students and teachers, acted very normal. I was super excited though!
