In November we have been talking about all the things we are grateful for! We read the book, The Golden Acorn by Katy Hudson, and discussed how we can always use help from others! Then we wrote thank you notes to those that help us out everyday! @hempfield
Fall is in the air! Today second graders learned about the Lonely Scarecrow and found evidence to support how he might be feeling and why he is feeling that way. They also wrote fall poems using their five senses! #readingisfun#fallisintheair@hempfield

Last week 2nd grades were challenged to think like a spider and design a web to catch insects. Students tested their designs and reflected what they would do differently to catch more the next time. #stem#learningisfun@hempfield
2nd graders completed a Monster Mash Breakout! Students had to use their problem solving and team work skills to break the codes! We had so much fun! #learningisfun@hempfield
