@WirralCouncil do you actually care though ?All grass verges and green space should be protected and left for #NoMowMay not just the ones you deem fit to not be mowed - typical council using mowing and over maintenance as an excuse to up that council tax charge #MoneyLaundering

Stumps of #SuttonColdfield #Birmingham - this tree won’t be able to support any wild birds for years due to this unnecessary pollarding #biodiversitycrisis

@BhamCityCouncil not that you care - you’ll continue to do busy body work that destroys the ecosystem to justify your hike in taxes because you made yourself #bankrupt 😂 so obvious

🚨BREAKING🚨 Totally superb news. Govt's "hoping for best" climate policy found unlawful AGAIN. Hopium is across all area - new roads when transport emission hardly change, carbon capture which adds more emissions etc Well done legal teams! Guardian👉theguardian.com/environment/…

£80,000 of tax payers money saved by Rotherham council through supporting #biodiversity , yet councils like @WirralCouncil would rather pillage the natural world to have an excuse to tax you #NoMowMay

No candidate has come out with strong policy ideas for London's mature trees. There's a HUGE gap in understanding how crucial mature trees are and the need to protect them. Threats continue from: Developers Insurers Severe pollarding Risk averse councils Landlords/residents.

Disgusting - you are killing the planet for our children - can’t expect any less from such a tyrannical and oppressive government though @RishiSunak @UKParliament as long as they make their money today, screw the future right ? theguardian.com/environment/…

Nature vs Man Homo sapiens is the only species in Earth’s long history to have been able to fundamentally alter the geochemical cycles that regulate the planet in a mere few decades. #Nature acts on the planet on a scale that dwarfs all products & processes of human engineering. The Earth’s powerful #climate system is case in point. The impact it has on every person in the world makes clear 1 basic fact... We are small... We are fragile... We are the ones at risk🦋LJC #GlobalWarming #ClimateAction #GlobalGoals #CleanUp #rewilding #Healing #Earth #EarthKeepersUnite

From an amateur observer standpoint, there seems to be correlation between Network Rail’s policy of decimating lineside trees (including on steep embankments) & an increase in land slips. Are there any studies on whether there is causation between these? theguardian.com/business/202…

The cruel, vindictive destruction of the family lives of people who dare to protest in the UK is the theme of this week's column. It's a glimpse into the dark heart of the state. theguardian.com/commentisfre…

County Councils are generally responsible for mowing and District Councils for litter picking. They rarely talk to each other and this is yet another example of needlessly complicated local government rubbish @cleanupbritain
Something that boils my pi*s in #Derby in the UK is council mowers shredding litter. Why in gods name do the council not litter pick the day before? Surely we need joined up thinking!

Nature does not need things to look ‘neat and tidy’ and it does not owe humans that - if it’s not posing a threat, don’t chop it down ! #TreeClub #treepeople #savetrees #EnoughIsEnough 🌲🪓🛑
