#UNAASG), and other partners hosted a vibrant Africa Day celebration in New York City, showcasing the continent's rich cultural heritage. The event drew a large presence , emphasizing unity and shared aspirations across Africa and beyond.

#UN, Keynote speakers included H. E. Mr. Milan Meetarbhan, PR of Mauritius 🇲🇺 to the
@UN and current Chair of the African Group, Н.E. Mr. Samuel Yao Kumah, PR of Ghana 🇬🇭 to the UN, on behalf of the Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Assembly of Heads of States (Burundi),H.E. Mr. Simon Cardy, Consul General of South Africa in New York (Chair of the Group of African Consuls General), followed by the Goodwill Messages by H.E. Ms. Amina J. Mohammed, UNDSG and Ms. Ana María Archila, Commissioner of the New York City Mayor's Office for International Affairs. The messages echoed the importance of cultural preservation, solidarity and sustainable development.
Guests enjoyed the rich culinary diversity of typical African food, cultural performances, an Africa photo exhibition, and engaging exchanges celebrating Africa's potential.
