this week I am on vacation from my primary job..
@MisterDeviling and me working thru #PHPStan issues and we can look back on a pretty successfull week.
Lots of fixed issues and merged contributons. some multi year old bugs fixed.
Its a lot of fun
Today is a big day and a big step for PHPStan: for the first time ever, I’m not the only person with merge rights on the repository. Two of the most active contributors, @markusstaab and @MisterDeviling can also merge PRs!
While I understand this lib has benefits and I don't plan to recreate a debate, I'm looking for arguments against the library github.com/dg/bypass-finals
What are
- The issue you encounter with it
- The reason you don't like this lib
Thanks
Vincent Langlet @MisterDeviling had a really busy weekend! He sent 27 (twenty seven!) pull requests to PHPStan and single-handedly fixed many issues.
So just four days after PHPStan 2.1.18, there's another massive release available for everyone with changes from Vincent and other valuable contributors!
I just passed one full-day off maintaining the sonata-projects repositories and there is still work to do.
Be aware those libs (like SonataAdminBundle) are now mainly maintained by 1-2 persons only. If you don't want them to be abandoned, consider:
- Contributing
- Sponsoring me
PHPStan 2.0 is here! After three years and tons of releases, we’ve taken PHP analysis to a whole new level.

Here’s what’s new and why I think you’ll love it: 👇🧵
