The aim of the session is to gather info from ICM academic trainees, hear about issues related to integrating academic and clinical training, and hopefully answer some of the questions that have already been sent to @MitoExplorer.
I’ve heard there is huge amount of variation around the country, lots of challenges. Want to hear about these and things that work have gone well. I know I’ve faced some for our trainees and we want to understand and hopefully improve
Calling all Academic ICM trainees!
You asked and we listened. In collaboration with FICM representatives Helen McKenna & Dhruv Parekh, the TRIC Network will soon be hosting its first listening event.

Question for UK #ICM trainees and trainers: does anyone have any experience of the new CESR-combined programme route towards CCT? @FICMNews@ICS_updates
So many of us are drawn to intensive care training from different backgrounds - it would be great to hear whether this ability to count previous experience has been straightforward, in ICM or other specialities?
Calling all UK academic #ICM trainees! Would you be interested in being part of a UK network, connecting academic trainees from different regions to share experiences of integrating academic with ICM training? Please get in touch via DM! @FICMNews@NIHRresearch@ICS_updates
Beautifully written piece, deftly explaining the starker realities of intensive care:
“It maintains life, but does not make you stronger. In fact, it reliably makes you weaker”
“We are bookies; not prophets.”
Delayed by a year, due to the pandemic, Prof Dan Martin @deoxyexplorer finally gives his Macintosh Professorship lecture at the virtual #anaesthesia2021 today at 10.45. It promises to be a wonderful story @FICMNews@XtremeEverest@EBPOM
If you don't have the time to join #Anaesthesia2021 live then it's OK - if you buy a ticket at ANY point during the three day conference you will be able to access ALL the content shared to view at your leisure.

And we're off! The first patient has been recruited to the trial at Musgrove Park hospital in Taunton. Thank you to the entire team there for working so hard to achieve this. A great day for the trial and fantastic news for the South West. Only 16,499 more to go!
Loved learning more about improving healthcare team performance through the “Learning from Excellence” approach @CPOC_News. Wonderful arguments for positive feedback #PSPP21.
