Someone knew we were going to be gone for the weekend and dropped off a pregnant cat at the house. That was sure nice of them.
It’s more tame than my 5 year old son and hasn’t left the deck since we got back. It definitely didn’t wonder over here from miles away.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on what a bred heifer is going to be worth this winter? Might have a couple loads for sale at some point but thinking it might be too early to start trying to sell them with drought conditions in parts of the country.

Dropped a group of heifers, with a little extra “go”, on grass today. They decided to be a pain. It was hot and sunny. I pulled the hose off the pipe line, took a drink, told dad there was plenty on sulfur in the water.
5 min later I was digging a rotten mouse out of the valve.

I just wanted conservative policy last election cycle. It required me to be okay w/Trump winning. I don’t agree with a lot of his ethics, attitude and actions. I just said “I hope he doesn’t mess it up too bad.” He’s getting real close. What a messed up govt structure we’ve got.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on grazing a pasture with some alfalfa in early spring? The hay fields are about 40% of the acres. Alfalfa is probably 35% of the hay stand. It’s been frosted 10 times this spring and isn’t very big yet. Yearling steers would go in this week.
