Cheaper version of this is and that’s worked for me is to take the Figma sketches to Pencil.dev , have Claude code clean it up in there and then having Claude code build it out using the final Pencil designs
the more I've been digging into the new Figma MCP, the more excited I am about it
something new I'm trying is starting with a very ugly sketch in Figma, and then having Claude Code flesh it out in Figma so I can tweak and edit before sending the final back to Claude Code
Tools like Pencil are changing how design works.
I still make every design and architecture call. But the loop between design and code is basically instant now.
As a designer, stop letting AI fully design your apps.
I design in Figma, build with Claude Code, then refine in Pencil instead of jumping back to Figma. Pencil and Claude Code back and forth from there.
I make every design call. The AI just keeps up
Onboarding should sell the app in 10 seconds. No walls of text. No sign-up gates.
Three screens, each one answers a single question the player has before they start. Chips, blinds, winner tracking. Done.
OLED black with neon line art because poker apps don't have to look cheap.
Been working on building an iOS app lately and I don't know any Swift/React Native.
Designed every screen in Figma, fed the screenshots to Claude Code, and it built me a working prototype from my designs. A working prototype!
Still rough around the edges but worked on some bugs with the same agent over the weekend. This workflow is so fun. Can’t believe it took me this long.
I used to think devs who could design had the biggest edge in tech.
Now I'm watching designers ship their wildest ideas because AI closed the gap. Full apps. Real products. Not mockups.
This is the era of the design engineer and I'm with it.
Found this in the explore page and animated it. Think this could be a sick background video for a hero section.
Will be trying something with this for sure!
