On our way home from our gig tonight, waiting on the platform for our train. A man walks right up to the edge of the platform. We hear the train coming in to the station. A young girl calls out to him to ask if he is ok, we ask him to come over to us and talk to us, he does.

He gets on the train with us, for the two stops before we have to change. He talks, we listen. He has had a tough life and society hasnโt helped him. My main take away was that he felt invisible. No one should feel like that. He said he has been trying to find a way out.

He meant taking his own life. We talked and listened some more. He was so grateful to have been seen.
It turns out today is World Suicide Prevention day. We didnโt know.
