Ultraviolence is Lana Del Rey's album that has sparked the most debates, ranging from virulent reactions to a wide majority of discussions evoking the discovery of a facet of Lana Del Rey radically different from that of her previous album. All of this while passing through opinions that evoke an exacerbated melancholy and a glorification of death (playing at it), of violence in various forms, of sadness in its most simulated guise, and much more/worse still. This album was solid proof of the professionalism with which Lana, then 28 years old, approached music and the adaptation of artistic creation under her own stage name.
Happy 12th anniversary to this work of art that I believe can be considered worthy of a memorable milestone in the history of "today's music".
