You can see it in the photo. There wasn’t really anything “cool” about us. Just two poor kids trying to figure it out. Hell, my mom couldn’t even afford contacts at the time. But that meeting changed my life. It was the first time somebody told me I wasn’t fit for the position. Not from a place of hate, just honesty and professionalism. You told us exactly what we needed to work on, and because of who you were in the music industry, we took every word seriously. Fast forward to today… You might not even know who I am, but I’m one of the kids who didn’t get picked. I didn’t become Kris Kross. I got to become Dizzy Wright. Over a billion streams later, a career built independently, and a fanbase that’s allowed me to travel the world doing what I love. I see your name in a lot of conversations these days, and I see you defending your legacy. I just wanted to publicly give you your flowers.
