The Premier League is set to have a managerial musical chairs this summer, the likes of which we've not seen in some time. For @ESPNFC: I wrote about some of the available (and possibly available) vacancies, and who might be a good fit at each spot espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/4…

Next instalment of my (free to read) World Cup tactical breakdowns, this time on Brazil - Morocco. Morocco exploited Brazil's structural OOP flaws with one dynamic on the left, one pattern through the centre and a few half-baked, right-sided rotations. medium.com/@joel-parker/thre…

The "Turkey could be dark horses in the tournament" take is nearing life support atm

I will not deny my involvement in peddling that take, as I thought a spirited QF run was in the cards if they won the group, but it's not looking good rn lol

Obviously a lot of this is a credit to the Knicks for how resilient they were, but the Spurs really had one of the worst displays of lead management we've ever seen in a high leverage playoff series
Rare for a team to lead for like 90 percent of the minutes in a series and still deserve to lose

Türkiye begin their WC campaign in just around an hr vs Australia, so if you want an idea on the kind of team they were in qualifying, here's my writeup from Thursday (although no Kenan Yildiz in the Starting XI)
With the World Cup set to begin this afternoon, this week's post for @TheTransferFlow is about Türkiye's and their chance to be a possible dark horse candidate. Between their strong squad and being in Group D, they could overperform expectations once again thetransferflow.com/p/t-rkiy…

They should force the Spurs to play Fox 40 mins for G6
They need to have landing foul situations that aren’t also “flagrant.” There was zero chance they are going to disqualify arguably the best player in the game on that so they need to have a recourse that penalizes the act but doesn’t lead to a suspension.

Wemby is just too tall for uncontested dunks to look cool lol

Yeah I won't blame Knicks fans for harping on that missed flagrant call on Wemby and avoiding a suspension if this gets extended to a G6

Knowing how this series has gone though, I'm not holding my breath for the Spurs to actually win this lol

The Spurs would be winning this series if he was playing like the version we saw on the Kings lol. He can't move rn
De'Aaron Fox plays basketball like he's still on the Sacramento Kings. (derogatory)

The logo at the end of replays being FIFA instead of the World Cup is a small but important reminder of how bad the vibes are for this tournament

One of the more flagrant cash grabs was turning football into a four quarter sport for this World Cup
