Molesey Library reopens Wed 8 Oct at 9:30am! During the closure, essential works were carried out to keep the building safe: Full structural survey Roof repairs & fascia/soffit replacement Balcony repairs (hoarding remains for now) Internal ceiling fixes due to water damage

Molesey Library will re-open on Wednesday 8th October 9.30am. During the closure of Molesey library the following works were undertaken to ensure the building is safe for all to use: - A full structural survey (1/3)

- External Roof - fascia and soffits outside of the main entrance were replaced. High level repairs to the roof that was causing water to enter building have been completed - Balcony - immediate necessary repairs were completed. The hoarding remains in place temporarily (2/3)

- Internal ceiling - repairs are being completed due to damage caused in staff areas by the roof’s water leaks. Checks have been carried out to ensure the building is watertight following repairs (3/3)

Molesey Library will remain closed until further notice while we investigate masonry issues. Following an initial visit from an engineer, further inspection is required to determine a timeline for next steps. We will keep you updated via our webpage and social media.
