We're highlighting queer Jewish icons every week for pride month! This week it’s Abby Stein, an author, rabbi, and activist who made headlines when she came out as trans, as a member of the New York City Haredi community, in 2015. Today, she serves as a Rabbi at Manhattan’s The New Shul. Of her Jewish identity, Stein told Moment in 2019 “I take some things that are radically Hasidic and celebrate those at the same time as I’m being totally secular—and it doesn’t just feel okay, it feels beautiful.” momentmag.com/how-is-your-ju…

In an interview with Moment Opinion and Book Editor Amy E. Schwartz, Political historian Julian Zelizer offers a first historical assessment of Biden’s presidency. momentmag.com/julian-zelizer…

Israelis don’t know when their next election is, or who their next Prime Minister will be. They do know that every party needs 61 Knesset seats to hold a simple majority. And they know that no Israeli party has ever crossed that threshold. With a coalition government being almost certain, Eetta Prince-Gibson looks at Bibi’s Likud party, the opposition parties, and what alliances may provide a new vision for the Jewish state. momentmag.com/eetta-bennett-…
