🟪Monad Client is fully Open-Source!
This is what real decentralization looks like! Open code gives power to the community.
Both halves of monad node are live on GitHub, and Nads have full access to;
- the transaction engine ( which executes txs, keeps state) and
- the block maker (bft consensus that orders txs)

Why this is a big deal:
-Anyone can read the code, audit it, and prove the chain does what it says.
-Open clients allow for more contributors, more implementations, fewer single-points of failure.

-And yes, you as a Nad can Spin up a node on a modern CPU and see how blocks are proposed, finalized, and executed; end to end.

🟪 Mainnet Is Close; Here’s What Will Make Monad Different
@category_xyz recently published a proposed spec that rounds out monad protocol; making the purple chain faster, smoother, and cleaner.
Here’s a non-technical TL;DR of what’s being proposed:👇
-Dynamic fees that allow prices tick up slowly when traffic is high and drop fast when it’s quiet ensuring smoother pricing and fewer surprises.
-Fewer failed sends are possible with a tiny reserve balance that lets blocks confirm near-instantly while your transaction finishes in the background
-A Cleaner, faster chain where some operations are repriced to reflect real cost, and deleting old data gives bigger refunds allowing for less bloat and more throughput.
Pair these with what’s already on deck; ~0.4s blocks, 200M gas/block, base fee burn tips to validators; and you’ve got a chain built for real usage.
With these, you can expect predictable fees, smoother user experience, and incentives for actual on-chain usage!
We’re so close to mainnet, and yes the time to use monad is now to get the best out of the ecosystem come mainnet.
