Melody explains why she believes the bond market is signaling deeper structural problems, why housing activity is weaker than headline data suggests, and why she sees gold becoming more important as confidence in currencies, and debt comes under pressure. @m3_melody @MoneyLevelsShow

Note that Social Security is merely the tip of the " ice berg". SSI must be considered in the context of the entirety of unfunded entitlement and off balance sheet liabilities. The total unfunded off balance sheet liabilities of the US govt. handily exceed $100,000,000,000,000
The Social Security trust fund is now projected to run out in 2032 That’s just 6 years away Current estimates imply automatic benefit cuts of ~22% if Congress doesn’t act And yet most Americans still barely talk about it Raise taxes? Raise the retirement age? Means-test benefits? What else realistically gets done here?

I recently picked up BJJ as a new life challenge and it’s taught/reinforced some valuable life lessons for me. 1. Never underestimate your opponent regardless of their size 2. Be prepared to experience humility 3. Control the ego before someone else controls it for you 4. Be willing to face your fears 5. Keep fighting through tough situations

Gold traded off after the May jobs print on June 5th, as markets freaked out over a potential Fed rate hike. But the bigger supply-demand story did not change. The ECB just confirmed gold overtook U.S. Treasuries as the world's #1 reserve asset. 27% of global official reserves, vs. 22% for Treasuries. First time since 1971. And, central banks kept buying through pullbacks. 🥇 ECB: Gold Is Now the #1 Reserve Asset - What Happens Next open.substack.com/pub/prinsi…

There is nothing more technically bullish than a 40-year resistance level turning into major support. That is exactly where gold miners sit today. Act accordingly. tavicosta.substack.com/p/a-s…

Fiat currencies are in an eternal bear market against gold: Since 1971, the US Dollar has lost -99.24% of its value against gold, the 2nd-largest decline among major currencies. Over the same period, the British Pound has declined -99.57%. The Euro would have lost -99.08% against gold if it had existed since 1971. Furthermore, the Japanese Yen and Swiss Franc have dropped -98.27% and -96.07%, respectively. Meanwhile, gold prices in US Dollar terms are up 11,119% over the same timeframe. Own assets or be left behind.
