So disappointing that Starmer has rushed through the #socialmediaban - so critical to the health and safety of our children, and our nation more widely. So much is being missed- including issues of capacity, funding & enforcement of the existing Online Safety Act. The question is not where ministers set age limits; it is whether the UK remains a low-regulation nation for platforms that shape the developmental environment of every child in the country, including the more than three million children and adults whose cognitive, learning, or developmental differences mean they cannot defend themselves. Summary from my submission to the consultation👇

X “Catastrophe” is how the Pensions Minister just described self-employed pension saving. Only ~4% of the solely self-employed are saving – with women already facing a severe pension gap. Time to take a SIPP and plan for the future you Back yourself → moneyshe.com/products/sipp/ #SIPP #genderpensiongap #femalefinancialplanning #retirement #womenandmoney *Risk warning: Capital at risk. The value of investments can fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you invest. Tax treatment depends on individual circumstances and may change. A SIPP is a long-term investment; you cannot normally access it until age 55 (rising to 57 in 2028).*

The Treasury Select Committee yesterday published 52,000 reasons why the student loan system is broken. And women are paying the highest price. The @CommonsTreasury findings vindicate every point we made @thatginamiller has now written to the Committee to offer oral evidence, as there can be no fair settlement on student finance that doesn't reckon with the fact that women pay the highest price! @WomensBudgetGrp

Today, the @CommonsTreasury 's publication exposes the unfairness in the #studentloan system so many have been shouting about As this article says "Among the most scathing submissions to the inquiry was a comprehensive white paper authored by Gina Miller's financial literacy platform, MoneyShe. The document painstakingly dismantled the architecture of the Plan 2 system, demonstrating how it disproportionately penalises women who take career breaks for childcare, ensuring their debt balloons uncontrollably through aggressive compounding interest." streamlinefeed.co.ke/news/pa… Will be issuing a detailed response tomorrow - in the meantime, our full @MoneyShe_ submission to the TSC here, with case studies: moneyshe.com/wp-content/uplo… White Paper here moneyshe.com/white-paper-bre…
