I am honestly too prepared for the next 3-4 weeks of D&D and after that we are taking a break.
I feel so weirdly empty every time when this happens. Really reminds me how much time/energy I put into this hobby.

Genuinely just wish that Pass Without a Trace was erased from #dnd5e entirely.
I either set DCs up to 30, or, players pass every single stealth roll.
I spend way too much mental energy trying to run stealth missions while keeping them fun and not just "We go wherever we want"
Movies over 2.5 hours should have intermissions
1. Built in bathroom breaks
2. People more likely to buy concessions before AND during the movie
3. Movie lengths can be even more unchained as 3.5 hours starts to feel reasonable
4. Less likely that I fall asleep
5. There's no reason that ALL showings need built in breaks. Go ahead and do a 6-9 showing for those who need it to be a tight 3 hours and don't care. Just make 1 other screen have a 15 minute intermission
6. Seriously I have to pee holy shit
If you had your party wake up to "tragedy", let's say a town flooding.
Would you still let them prepare their spells? Or would you use that as a "you had no time to change spells" moment.
This would be under the assumption that a long rest HAS occurred.

My thought is, RAW, you need this additional time.
It could actually be a good time to bring this rule up!
Hey you want to prepare Control Water cause you think it will be helpful? That's fine but it will take 4 minutes to switch that out.
One part of me wants to find someone to talk about my #dnd game with so I can brainstorm ideas. The other part of me does not want to give the context of an entire year long campaign that spun off an initial 2.5 year campaign.
