Stolen in Louisiana and recovered in Monterey. This afternoon one of our ALPR cameras alerted to a stolen vehicle on N. Fremont Street and our officers quickly apprehended the driver. Embracing modern technology is just one way we strive to provide exceptional service.

Chief Hober at the Police Executive Research Forum 4th annual Integrating Communications, Assessment, and Tactics (ICAT) conference. ICAT has been scientifically studied and shown to reduce use of force, subject injuries, and officer injuries and was implemented at MPD in 2018.
