FIFA just rolled out its own blockchain.
The goal?
Full control over how digital assets, games, and fan experiences are built and scaled without relying on third-party chains.
With over 5 billion fans worldwide and 1.5 billion watching the last World Cup final, this news demonstrates that blockchain is ready for real-world, global-scale use cases.
This new chain will power FIFA’s growing suite of digital products:
• FIFA Collect, now migrated from Algorand to Avalanche, offers tradable NFT highlights with real perks like World Cup tickets and exclusive airdrops.
• FIFA Rivals, an arcade-style mobile game leveraging NFTs technology and launching globally in June.
• 0xFútbol, a fan-driven ecosystem built on Avalanche, introduces the FUTBOL token for prediction markets, quests, and fan engagement across apps.
The ecosystem uses an Avalanche Subnet (EVM-compatible), which ensures low latency, high scalability, and smooth onboarding via wallets such as MetaMask, Rabby, and others.
This move isn’t just about collectibles or gaming. It’s about turning fans into participants and giving them a stake in the game itself.
It is a big step toward large-scale tokenized fandom.
