Detectives arrested Steven Harrington following an investigation into alleged indecent acts involving a child. He was booked into the Cleveland County Jail on 5 felony counts related to child sex crimes.

Suspect in Custody in Suspicious Package Incident
Today at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a male individual who entered the Alon gas station at Main and Broadway, left behind a suspicious package and electronic items, and then exited the store.

During the investigation, it was determined the individual was experiencing a mental health crisis. He was transported for evaluation and treatment. No threats were reported during the incident.
At approximately 2:45 p.m., the all-clear was given and roadways were reopened.
