Year 1 is often about laying the foundation. Three second-year coaches positioned to make a jump in 2026: Tony Gibson (Marshall) - Went 5-7 in Year 1. I think the Herd can push for 9 wins this season. Joe Harasymiak (UMass) - After an 0-12 season, I could see the Minutemen flirting with bowl eligibility in Year 2. Rich Rodriguez (West Virginia) - 4-8 last year. I'm buying the "Hard Edge" culture and the talent added through the portal. OL should be much improved. I can see an 8-win season in the cards.
