cool thing about this ideas is it's already somewhat exist in the live2d model community ("scenic" models are good examples). however, considering how complicated it can be and frankly, limited re-usability of the gimmick, i can see why it's not as popular as the normal version
I was wondering why Vtubers (ones that can afford it ofc) don't try new different ideas for models that could make the streams more fun? There's some really cute ideas that can be used, what do you think?

I'm concerned about the debate on 90°/180° head turns on Live2D models. You can't expect everyone to work on such a complex feature and (in my opinion) no one should undercharge for something that takes so many hours to make.

Maoxy articulated this wonderfully I just want to qt some of the major points i thought should be shared ​A Live2D model is never plug-and-play. It takes time to get used to your new virtual "body", and it needs a lot of testing on your own tracking setup. ​You and your rigger aren't in the same room. Your camera resolution, your lens position, and your settings for blinking, mouth tracking, and smiling etc are not going to be the same as theirs. Fixing weird bugs takes extra dedication from the rigger Because everyone uses different cameras, has a different face, and rigs differently, a bug that pops up on your screen might be the first time the rigger has ever seen it in their life. ​When you run into these hardware or software issues, you can't just talk the problem away or get emotional. It takes actual professional dedication from the rigger, they need to be willing to sit down, troubleshoot, and figure out a solution with you. it is so so important not to buy on impulse or be unwilling to work and communicate with your live2d rigger and please be patient with them, if its a custom product its many many hours and dedication and if conversation breaks down or stress and tone gets in the way it sours the experience for everyone and contributes to burnout lets raise the standards and bring others up with us ✨

Perfect sync has been around since 2021. It was used with 3D/VRM models. It was added for Live2D models in 2022. FaceRig/PRPR/Nizima Live had access to "perfect sync" at that time as well. Perfect sync is just another name for arkit tracking. Arkit tracking been out since 2017

Have always been thinking about how rapid live2d models progress in quality, from 2020 all the way till now. If you're a live2d rigger, i'd like your opinion on this. Back then, vowels were a luxury. It's already impressive if you manage to make your model's mouth change shape.

My opinion is that, no. This industry is very young. If things goes smoothly, i think there will be something new in the horizon. With the new 5.3 updates and the amount of features we got to play with, i believe there will be one person out there who find the next trend.
