Carney is bending the knee to American tech oligarchs. No Prime Minister since Mulroney has betrayed this country's sovereignty like he has

Last night, our bill to protect the right to strike was debated in Parliament. As Prime Minister Carney quietly considers sweeping changes to Canada’s labour laws after rushed consultations, the stakes have never been higher. If this government moves to weaken the right to strike, New Democrats and the labour movement promise Mark Carney the fight of his political life. Add your name: ndp.ca/repeal-section-107

People who demanded you vote strategically said "you have to abandon the NDP for Carney, because Carney will defend the Charter from Poilievre" Well look at this: Carney is launching a direct assault on the Charter of Rights and Freedoms

The government should be protecting our public airports, not selling them off for parts. History is littered with examples of the failures of privatization. It drives up costs for the public, quality suffers, and workers always end up paying the price.

I think people are right to say that @avilewis is the real leader of the opposition right now, both because Poilievre is shockingly ineffective, but also because he and Carney are too similar ideologically Lewis is offering a positive, constructive alternative
Avi Lewis: "Do we only think that it's worth spending money on projects that have incredible lobbying power, powerful friends in cabinet, huge industries that benefit? Those are the projects we see going forward and the ones that benefit all of us get left aside and left out of the conversation."

This NAILS it. People see the conservatives as sadistic, and the liberals as regretful, when they pass the same policies
That's "The liberal advantage" in a nutshell. This perception that Liberal only do bad things because they "Have to" whereas conservatives the perception is that they "Want to". The real perversion is the result is the same, Canadians get screwed while corporations make a mint!

Doug Ford is out of control I have some idea who he’s governing for, and it is not for the people who do the work, respect the laws and pay the taxes

Manitoba’s NDP banned surveillance pricing. Saskatchewan’s NDP is pushing to do the same. Canada’s NDP proposed it, blocked by Liberals. Ontario’s NDP proposed it, blocked by Conservatives. The NDP is fighting to make life more affordable. The other two? Playing politics.
Doug Ford doesn’t listen to you when you need help. He showed up to buy a $30M private jet…but showing up to stop corporations from price gouging you? Sorry, calendar’s fills.

Yes, and we also taxed the rich in part to make it happen. All you've done is cut taxes on Yachts and capital gains so your rich buddies can get even richer.

Today, the Liberals rejected our NDP motion to ban surveillance pricing - a dystopian practice that will drive up costs for Canadians if we allow it to take root. The NDP is the only party fighting to protect you from getting ripped off at the checkout.
Today I proposed banning "surveillance pricing" — a creepy practice where corporations weaponize your personal data to rip you off. Deeply disappointed the motion was rejected. Canadians are already being crushed by sky-high costs. They deserve relief, not corporate exploitation.

So @TorontoArgos @ArgonautsMR @MLSEFoundation take note: this is what happens when you support and promote your #CFL franchise instead of promoting a team from another league in another country. @CFL @StarSports

What a great choice for @avilewis's 1st big policy intervention as @NDP leader: ndp.ca/news/ndp-moves-ban-su…. It epitomizes how avg people are exploited by the tech & market power of oligopolists, & their intrusion into every moment of our lives. I predict this'll be very popular! /2

Corporations have found a creepy new way to rip you off. It's called "surveillance pricing" and it's coming for all of us at the checkout if we don't stop it. Add your name and help stop retailers from price-gouging us with the help of Big Tech: ndp.ca/surveillance-pricing

Congrats to Serena Purdy & her team for more than doubling the @NDP vote in University-Rosedale last night. An increase of well over 100% compared to last year's federal election. The only party to increase its vote - and by a significant margin. #cdnpoli

John Tory endorsed the Liberal candidates running in today's by-elections. Doug Ford has said he's hoping for a Carney majority. Hard-right MP Marilyn Gladu crossed the floor to join Carney's caucus last week. Just waiting now on the Stephen Harper endorsement...

This should be required reading for all the folks on the Canadian left who think that Avi Lewis is “unelectable” or that his leadership represents a “radical” departure from the NDP’s “pragmatic past.”
My new article for @CDN_Dimension Lewis strikes fear in the establishment because he’s firmly rooted in the democratic socialism of Tommy Douglas, David Lewis, and Ed Broadbent
