My heart is with the Jewish community in Australia and around the world following the violent attack in Bondi, which took place on the first day of Hanukkah. An attack against people celebrating their faith is an attack on all of us. Antisemitism and political violence have no place in our society. We mourn those harmed, stand in solidarity with the Jewish community, and recommit ourselves to building a world rooted in safety, dignity, and respect for all.
Trump coming to PA on Wednesday was a joke! Calling affordability a “hoax” tells you everything you need to know. Families across Pennsylvania are paying more for food, housing, childcare, and utilities. That is not a talking point. That is real life.
When a president says Pennsylvania is a “dumping ground” for immigrants, he is insulting our neighbors, our coworkers, and our city! Philly has always been a place of work, resilience, and contribution, not scapegoating!
Pennsylvanians know their pocketbooks! You do not need a rally or a teleprompter to tell you what you feel every day! In 2026, we deserve leaders who take affordability seriously, take our neighbors seriously and fight for working people!
Today's action by @GovernorShapiro is a huge relief for our most vulnerable Philadelphians who rely on SNAP to keep food on the table. This is what compassionate leadership looks like.

BREAKING: Pennsylvania is now driving out November SNAP benefits.
After we won in court yesterday, we moved quickly to start getting benefits loaded on EBT cards and out the door — and we're working to get every Pennsylvanian currently waiting for federal food assistance benefits what they're owed.
The government is shut down, but here in Philly, we’re stepping up. After pushing for local action, PECO and PGW are expanding assistance so families aren’t left in the dark or cold.
This is what it means to fight for Philly — real solutions in hard times. We’ll keep showing up for one another until Washington does its job and reopens the government.
Nearly 475,000 Philadelphians rely on SNAP to keep food on the table. With federal cuts on the horizon, families, seniors, and children will feel the impact first. If you need help finding food resources, visit phila.gov/food.
Philly, the University of Pennsylvania made the right call! No institution should trade its integrity, academic freedom, or diversity for federal funding. Philadelphia has always stood on the side of inclusion and excellence, not control and censorship!
Brown and MIT have also rejected the proposal, which would have given the White House influence over the universities' operations in exchange for preferential consideration in federal funding.

Philly, let’s have a conversation. This November, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court is on the ballot — and your vote will decide whether we keep justices who have protected your rights, your vote, and your voice. 🧵
Our courts shape every part of our lives — from classroom funding to fair elections. Let’s protect what matters. Vote YES for retention this November and make sure you’re registered by October 20!
The House is ready. The Senate is missing! Schools are borrowing, survivors are waiting, and Philly families are paying the price. Get back to Harrisburg and get this budget done!
