New video explaining why it is naive to assume the ruling class will just give us universal income and how it lacks historical perspective: Any gains the working class has ever made had to be won by fighting back against the ruling class. This moment in history is no different.
The fact that anyone thinks a trillionaire is going to make sure we all have “universal high income” is pure cope. The ruling class is not going to save us. We have to save ourselves.

1.3 MILLION PEOPLE ASKED THE EU TO STOP COMPANIES FROM DELETING GAMES THEY PAID FOR. THE ANSWER WAS NO. The "Stop Killing Games" initiative wanted one thing: when publishers pull the plug, don't let them remotely destroy copies people already bought. The European Commission's official response: - It will not require publishers to keep games playable - says forcing them would go too far - Reason given: publishers' copyright and IP rights come first. Your purchase comes second. - The solution: a voluntary code of conduct, developed together with the same industry that kills games - Plus an awareness campaign reminding you of the consumer rights you supposedly already have 1.3 million signatures. Years of work. Multiple hearings. And the part that says everything: according to the campaign, Ubisoft got a seat at a closed-door meeting with the Commission before the decision. The 1.3 million people who signed did not. Publishers can still brick your purchase whenever they feel like it. If buying still isn't owning, then at least now it's official.
'Stop Killing Games' has failed to secure new EU legislation despite having 1.3 million signatures The EU says it “cannot propose a legal obligation” requiring publishers to keep games playable after they stop being sold commercially
Community note
The EU Commission declined to propose legislation via the Citizens' Initiative, but campaign organizers state they are continuing by seeking to amend it into the Digital Fairness Act through the European Parliament. x.com/StopKilingGame… digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/news/commis…

waiit so you're telling me that deep sea animals actually look NORMAL and CUTE when they're in their natural habitat and not exposed to thousands of tons of negative pressure!??? wooooowww what a shocker who would've guessed
Scientists have captured footage of the “ugliest shark on the planet” alive in its natural habitat for the first time Goblin sharks have rarely been sighted due to their deep-sea habitat and experts say we know virtually nothing about them

They want to shove British-style digital ID down our throats too. THIS IS NOT A DRILL
🔔ICYMI: A controversial deal in the U.S. could fundamentally rewrite internet freedom as we know it. The congressional deal would trade the deregulation of artificial intelligence for unprecedented federal censorship powers. A high-stakes compromise is quietly brewing in Washington as the White House negotiates with congressional leaders to fundamentally reshape the digital landscape. Under the proposed deal reported by Axios, the federal government would strip states of their authority to regulate artificial intelligence—effectively halting progressive state-level efforts to hold tech companies accountable and restrict energy-heavy AI data centers. In exchange, lawmakers would push through three major federal censorship bills: the Kids Online Safety Act, the NO FAKES Act, and a federal online age verification mandate. While framed as common-sense protections for minors, civil liberties advocates warn these measures represent an unprecedented expansion of federal control over online speech. The backlash to this legislative trade-off cuts across typical political lines. Even conservative-backed organizations like the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) have issued stark warnings, declaring that the package would dismantle the internet as we know it by empowering the Federal Trade Commission to dictate acceptable online speech. Opponents argue that enforcing these rules would effectively eliminate online anonymity, while giving the administration an incredibly powerful tool to censor dissenting political views and control what users see on major platforms like Instagram. As the White House maneuvers to secure congressional backing, Americans are left facing a troubling dilemma: the long-sought-after regulation of big tech and AI may come at the direct cost of their fundamental constitutional rights to free expression. Trans people told yall this obsession with bathrooms would harm cis people as well. They told yall gendered bathrooms don’t work for a lot of people, and this is a prime example. Unless cis folks start fighting back against bigoted cowards like this old fuck we deserve it too.
A father at QuikTrip checked the women’s restroom first and found it empty, so he took his two young daughters inside to use it. While they were washing their hands, another man walked in and started yelling that a guy had no business being in the women’s bathroom with his daughters.

Rich kids get capital. Middle class kids get “figure it out.” Poor kids get trauma and told it builds character. The starting line is not equal.

Billionaires do not create jobs. Stop saying it. Without billionaires, we would still build things, design things, teach things, sell things, buy things. Billionaires capitalise profits. That's it.
