ALT Visual abstract summarizing a study on insurance coverage disruption after pediatric hospitalization. Six months after hospitalization, children who were hospitalized had higher rates of insurance disruption than non-hospitalized children (17.0% vs 15.6%). Caregivers of hospitalized children also had higher disruption rates than caregivers of non-hospitalized children (16.5% vs 15.5%). Disruption was more common among families with longer hospital stays and those with only one caregiver on the insurance plan.
