As excitement builds for the summer of soccer happening this month at Levi’s Stadium, we're reminding fans to help keep the experience safe and enjoyable for everyone. Plan ahead and arrive early. Give yourself extra time for traffic, parking, and security screening. If you see something, say something. Stay aware of your surroundings and report suspicious activity to law enforcement. In an emergency, call 9-1-1. For non-emergency assistance in Mountain View, call (650) 903-6344. Arrive home safely. Make a plan before you celebrate, designate a sober driver, use a rideshare service, or arrange another safe ride home. Whether you're heading to a match, a watch party, or a fan event, let's work together to make this an unforgettable and safe World Cup experience. Enjoy the matches and play it safe!

What a fantastic day at the Mountain View Police Activities League (MVPAL) Kickball Classic event! On Saturday, May 23, McKelvey Ball Park was filled with energy, teamwork, and school spirit as teams from multiple middle schools came together for a day of friendly competition. From the first kick to the final inning, participants showed incredible sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and pride representing their schools. We are so excited to participate in events like this, which bring youth together, build positive connections, and create opportunities for fun and growth outside the classroom. A big thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make the day a success. Already looking forward to next year’s MVPAL Classic Kickball!

Mountain View Community, Over the past several months, we’ve heard from community members about safety concerns involving e-bike, motorized scooter, and bicycle riders in Mountain View. Our top priority is keeping everyone safe — whether you’re on two wheels, four, or on foot. In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing important information about e-bike safety, speed limits, equipment requirements, and road rules. Our goal is to help riders and their families understand how to stay safe and comply with the law. Our department, which includes Patrol Officers and the School Resource Officer, will continue to discuss safe riding habits and the requirements for commuting around town with students, staff, and parents. Education and awareness come first, because safety starts with understanding. Working together, we can ensure our roads are safe for everyone.

Today, we honor our heroes. Since 1962, when President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and designated the surrounding week as National Police Week, this time has served as an opportunity to remember the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of law enforcement officers. We reflect on the lives lost in the line of duty and recognize the bravery, professionalism, and selflessness that define this noble profession. To those who continue to serve, and to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, thank you. Your dedication leaves a lasting impact on the communities you protect.
