53 real food recipes. Every single one filmed in Kim's actual kitchen. All of it free. No professional setup. No food styling. No pretense. Just real food cooked the way she actually eats. The Jalapeno Stuffed Burger. The Wobbly Cheesecake. The Stuffed Mushrooms that never last long enough... at least when Kim gives me some they don't last any time at all. All low carb. All real food. Low carb isn't a diet. It's a decision. The hardest part was never the commitment. It was knowing what to make on a Tuesday night when the old habits were loud.

Free cookbook with videos for every recipe. Built it three years ago and forgot to talk about it enough. That's on us. Link in first comment. riverszen.com/lowcarb

Running on five or six hours sleep wasn't productivity. It was borrowing against a debt the body keeps track of with perfect accuracy. Eventually it will collect it's due.

This morning I slowed a Qigong class all the way down. Not to rest. Not to recover. To go inside. Seven of us in the room. I told them to stop observing from the outside and start feeling from the inside out. What does your shoulder actually feel like right now. What is your breath doing. What is your body trying to tell you that you haven't been quiet enough to hear. The fitness industry never sells this. It sells burn. It sells sweat. It sells the feeling of having pushed hard enough to deserve rest. Stillness doesn't move product so stillness doesn't get marketed. Afterward we sat on the floor together and one of my students said something I won't forget. She said she always goes inside after Qigong. But today it went much deeper. Helped her release mental weight she'd been carrying alongside the physical. That's not a fitness result. That's a human result. Your body has been trying to talk to you for years. The noise just keeps winning. Stillness isn't the absence of work. It's a different kind of work. And for people over 50 it might be the most important kind nobody told you about.

The gluten-free industry built a billion dollar empire around the wrong villain. Starch is just glucose molecules chained together. Your body breaks it down fast and the blood sugar spike is identical whether the package says gluten-free or not. They swapped wheat for potato starch, rice flour, and tapioca. Different ingredients. Same damage. Higher price. A health halo that was never earned. Gluten isn't innocent for everyone. But for most people it was never the problem. The bread was always the problem. They just sold you a more expensive version of it.

The doctor who prescribed the medication wasn't wrong. Medication saves lives. That's not the argument. The argument is what happens before the prescription gets written. Not one question about food. Not one question about movement. Not one question about sleep. Just the prescription pad. That's not medicine. That's management.

Someone said something to me after class on Monday that stopped me in my tracks. He's a busy guy. His words not mine. And he shows up every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8am without fail. I asked him why. He said without it I hurt. I don't move well. My hip kills me. I'm a busy guy and this is a valuable investment of my time. That's it. No complicated fitness philosophy. No transformation story. Just a man who figured out that the cost of NOT showing up is higher than the cost of showing up. His currency isn't money. It's pain. And he decided he was done paying it. That's exactly why we're here. Not to sell you a fitness program. Not to turn you into an athlete. Just to help you move well enough that life doesn't hurt. Three days a week. One hour. That's the investment he made. What would you do with a body that didn't hurt every day? Drop it in the comments...

Most people aren't overeating. They're under-aware. Boredom. Thirst. Stress. Those three things drive more eating decisions than hunger ever will. Fix those and the weight problem mostly fixes itself. No diet. No program. No willpower required.

Seventeen years. Zero medications. 98 pounds gone and never coming back. Not luck. Not genetics. A decision made in the dark that got made again every morning after that.

Blood pressure medication is the third most prescribed drug in America. Ask yourself one question. When was the last time your doctor asked what you eat, how you move, or how much stress your nervous system is carrying every single day?

Never had a single doctor ask any of those questions!!

Your doctor isn't lying to you. He's just working from a very short list. A 2026 clinical trial showed 10 minutes of intentional movement and breath dropped blood pressure as effectively as first-line medication. It didn't make the protocol. Ask yourself why.

268 pounds. Type 2 diabetes. A nutritionist pushing ice cream in moderation. Then a medication that put me on the floor at 2am with stars in my vision. The emergency line told me to take sugar pills. That was the moment I said enough. Ninety days later. Normal blood sugar. No medications. Seventeen years later. Still no medications. 98 pounds gone and never coming back. The system is designed to manage your condition. Not reverse it. There is a difference.
