Lumos House NYC (2 - 5 June) is about to kickoff. We're starting it off with a super exciting panel with 2 people I wish I met a long time ago (Contessa Boorman @_simmy_). As always, @andruyeung makes great intros. If you're in town during Tech Week, make sure to apply to this event and check out Lumos House in general, we have a ton of stuff lined up.

We did something different in Miami this year... Instead of hosting another “networking” event at Miami Tech Week, @seeblindspot (@MrAngryPixels, @mateipsatta) and I found a more thoughtful way to bring together the tech community to gather, collaborate, and explore new ideas. We included: • Curated breakfast and dinners throughout the day by a private chef • A breathwork experience • Open-house co-working opportunities throughout the day • Games and activities like poker, pool, chess, music • @seeblindspot LED billboard trucks that showcased the brilliant products the founders in Lumos were building (shown to hundreds of people!) • A tech "party" every night for folks to cool off 𝐖𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐋𝐮𝐦𝐨𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞. All this was free. The community doesn't pay a cent. But it's also application-only (you can't buy your way in.) A “luminary” is an extraordinary individual who positively inspires or influences others. The change-makers, thought leaders, and creators of our generation. We wanted to fill the house with luminaries: extraordinary, yet kind, and accomplished, yet humble individuals who approached relationships with the mindset of giving first. In the span of 3 weeks, we received hundreds of applications... Attendees included: • Founders of unicorn companies • Entrepreneurs who have built companies generating $100M in revenue • Early tech operators who have worked directly with public company CEOs • Creators and writers with 100,000 readers • Young, up-and-coming dropouts who are building the future of tech Incredibly humbled to have so many remarkable people attend. Thank you for coming. By providing this space for a global community of builders, tinkerers, and change-makers to gather, we fostered hundreds of relationships, new business ideas, and partnerships. This was our second Lumos House.
