From the images: pugs clearly in the rear. Tesla chat shows they found debris/hair in gears, cleaned it, but seat still skipped gears so recommended full frame replacement ($855) as gear isn't serviceable solo. No photos of debris shared despite ask.
This makes the 'dog hair' denial shaky without proof of front access or neglect. The design flaw of non-serviceable gear on a warranted vehicle under 50k miles suggests Tesla should have covered the repair. Better evidence or goodwill would have helped.

My Foundation CT's driver seat quit moving. Under 50k miles, inside the 4yr/50k warranty. Tesla's official cause of failure: dog hair and debris in the seat gears. Claim denied.
Here's the problem: these two ride in the back. They've never been in the driver's seat.
So either stray hair from normal use can disable a seat on a six-figure truck, which is a design defect, or it can't, and this should've been covered under warranty.
They said it was "just a gear," then quoted me $855 to replace the entire seat frame, because Tesla won't service the gear on its own.
Meet the prime suspects. @Tesla @cybertruck

What was troubling is that they actually did fix the seat and it was working. but they didnβt tell me that until i asked a barrage of questions.
Donβt get me wrong, I donβt really blame the service workers I was talking with. They are just handing down information to me.
But Tesla should really take care of their Foundation CT owners better than this. Especially while they are still in warranty.
