Subbing in Elmarko for Kohl was a decision. That’s for sure. #kubball

What is the success of the pass rush or the success rate of the play for the offense when he drops into coverage? That would be an interesting comparison. The eye test says he should rush on 93% as well.
An interesting #KUfball stat... Leroy Harris III has a QB pressure rate of 15.7% this season. Austin Booker had a QB pressure rate of 16% in 2023. So, Harris is getting to the QB as often as Booker. But, Harris is rushing on 75% of the passing plays he's on the field for. Booker rushed on 93.7% of the passing plays he was on the field for.

The announcer says the missed FG looms large. He realizes 7 is still more than 6, right? #kufball

I hope the KU reporters grill Lance on the decision to kick it.

You have to go there. A TD beats you either way. #kufball

I don’t understand what KU is trying to do on offense. This is bad. #kufball

I hope @YouTubeTV and @ESPN get it figured out. I won’t be getting another streaming service, but also might have to be out on YTV after this as well. I’ll listen to @BHanni like I used to with Bob and Max.

Lance is a floor raiser. He can go to Wisconsin and I’d wish him well. #kufball

SIK Pre-Season Player to Watch: Wyatt Griffin enters his senior year as a dynamic dual-threat quarterback and multi-sport standout for Chase County (8M-I). The 6’3”, 190-pound athlete rushed for 1,012 yards and passed for another 1,010 in 2024, helping lead the Bulldogs to a 7-3 record. He also contributes on defense at DB and handles punting duties. Griffin holds offers from Kansas Wesleyan, Butler CC, and Emporia State University. Also a 2A state champion in both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays in 2024, Griffin earned second team all-state basketball honors and first team all-state infield honors in baseball in 2025. With a 4.54 40 and 34-inch vertical, his athleticism shows across all seasons. “I’m super excited to be able to play another season of Bulldog football!” Griffin said. “We’ve got another great team returning and a lot of underclassmen we are looking forward to seeing step up into new roles. I am ready for a great senior year with a great group of teammates to spend it with!” #sportsinkansas Photo: Reace Harshman

Small Town, Big Dreams: Jared Casey had zero Division I FBS offers out of 2A/1A Plainville High School in 2020 and will now get an opportunity at the NFL with a Rookie Mini Camp with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was the Sports in Kansas 1A POY in football his senior year and also a multiple time all state selection in track and basketball. Despite zero FBS offers, he did pick up a PWO offer to walk on at KU. The rest is history as Casey who first became a fan favorite after catching the pass to beat Texas and would then become a multiple year starter. He earned first team All-Big 12 as a fullback as a senior in 2024 as he shined as a tight end and a blocking back that had the best hands on the team. Thank you Jared for being an inspiration and keep it going! #sportsinkansas photo: Debbie Stiawalt

Seeing lots of flyby “closeouts” turning into easy 3s. Shot fake, reset, swish.

Can we get a rule that when the defense gets possession as the shot clock expires, it’s just a play on instead of stopping play?

This should be the focus. It’s not KJ or Juan’s fault that Bill put them in these positions.
This is the result of not recruiting over bench talent being used as starters #kubball

KU hoops season comes to an end. These last 2 years have been about as bad of roster construction as I can I can remember. But more importantly, we need to completely revamp our O system. It hasn’t changed in 5 years. The game has.

Today’s #KUCancerFighter dedication celebrates the life of 1995 KU graduate, John Bowman, who passed away earlier this month after a 2.5 year battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer. John was just 51 when he passed but lived his life to the fullest, growing up in Salina, KS where he attended Salina South. He then followed his brother Aaron to KU where he excelled in the School of Engineering and loved watching his Jayhawks in The Phog, especially his all-time favorite ‘Hawk - Jacque Vaughn. After graduation, John went on to become a very successful petrochemical engineer for more than 25 years, mostly in Baton Rouge. He raised 3 kids - a daughter, Natalie and two sons, Drew & Jack. Being down on the Bayou, John got to host his Kansas buddies for the Final Fours in 2003, 2012 and 2022 — some of the happiest memories of their lives. Those same friends are watching the Big Dance with heavy hearts this month but are reflecting fondly on the great times they got to share with their buddy John, especially over Kansas Basketball. Tonight’s call is for John, his family and that KU Hoops friend group he cherished so much. Rock Chalk forever, John. 💙❤️
