@KsCommissioner letās š at the numbers
ā¶ļø KS requires 1,116 instructional hours

So, if states with fewer hours rank higher, whereās the ROI in adding more time?
Is the issue really about hours, or is it about how that time is used? Before we start cutting breaks or stretching the calendar, maybe we should ask is it the seat time or quality instruction?
Donāt worry āthis is also my argument on how we need to start reallocating teacher workday time. After talking with a few state representatives it sounds like the window of opportunity for that policy to be changed is in the near future š¤ š

Absolute hill I will ā ļø on.
THIS⦠teachers will be remembered not because they taught s.studies or math but b/c they cared about teaching the Ss their passion for their subject, gave Ss confidence in themselves as learners & as people, treated the student as a person, & instilled a love of learning -Hattie
