November is Native American Heritage Month, so there’s no more fitting time to announce a new mascot for Bethel High School! After nearly 70 years, the school is changing its mascot from the Braves to the Bison. southsoundtalk.com/2021/11/1…
A6: I am in love with Google Voice and being able to send a quick text to check in on students. I sent a message about a kiddo who didn’t make it back from break and turned out he broke his arm and was at the ER. The Mom was so happy I reached out! #teachertechwa
A5: Team tasks always get high engagement from most of my students, but the most liked have been projects where students get to create their own comic on @StoryboardThat or creat a media project with @AdobeSpark, the key seems student choice and a good rubric. #teachertechwa
A4: the large amount of student recognition and noticing positive behavior will stay. This year I bought bags of the mini erasers and mail them home as rewards. I’ll continue this in class, cheaper than candy and way cuter. Letting go of worksheets! #teachertechwa
A3- Collaborating with @ms_mcelroy1 a librarian from many districts away. Moderating @SeesawWa with her is awesome! She even came to one of my @GirlScoutsWW troop meeting to help us with our service project. Virtual @zoom_us meetings has opened doors. #teachertechwa
A2: learning with pets and siblings around has been pretty special. The best is when my dogs bark on Zoom and that sets off other dogs across town! #teachertechwa
