We Agree! @GovWhitmer & StateSuperRice sent a persuasive appeal to USSecofEd to forgive assessments during this COVID stateofemergency, as occurred last spring. They cited reasons our Ed’s & parents know well. Most unfortunately, request was denied. Hence, our current reality. :(
Did you know that one in four AAPS students is experiencing poverty? Help make the winter season a little brighter for our students by providing them gift cards, winter clothes, and gifts. @nancyjshore @A2SchoolsSuper #A2gether20a2schools.org/wintergiving

Dear Educators,
Never take things personally when it comes to your students behavior. It is rarely about you and more about what they are going through.
Remembering this has helped me so much.
Just about ready for day one of virtual learning @A2Abbot @A2SchoolsSuper @A2schools. I’m feeling so excited now that I have my classroom set up! Wondering what other classrooms look like. Any tips? Cannot wait to get started with my students on 9/8!

#GratefulToday Thankful! to hear today that @USDA has extended waiver so @a2schools may continue emergency distribution of food for our #AnnArbor children-an immense support! We are 500k meals distributed & now #Onward TY @SenStabenow for speaking up on this issue! #A2gether20
This unprecedented move will help ensure – no matter what the situation is on-the-ground – children have access to nutritious food as the country recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The sudden loss of @chadwickboseman, someone who so many students looked up to, is tragic. Thanks to him, Black kids finally had a superhero that looked like them. He was a hero and he will be missed.
“When given the choice between being right and being kind, choose kind.”
When I read “Wonder” aloud 7 years ago to my 5th grade class, I didn’t totally understand what that quote meant. Now more than ever, it is so relevant - always CHOOSE KIND!

Michigan is home to the largest Lebanese community in the US, and Beirut’s devastating explosion has left many scared for their loved ones.
I stand with my friends who are calling for relief and assistance to be quickly deployed to the people of Lebanon.
