I’m just going to put this out there and tell y’all that Atticus is every bit who he seems to be. He is a good man. He’s received these messages for years and never responds. We really just want to be left alone. At least respect us that much.

Our nation’s democratic system functioned last night and we have a new President-elect.  All Americans are bound, whether we like the outcome or not, to accept the results of our elections. We now have a special responsibility, as citizens of the greatest nation on earth, to do everything we can to support and defend our Constitution, preserve the rule of law, and ensure that our institutions hold over these coming four years. Citizens across this country, our courts, members of the press and those serving in our federal, state and local governments must now be the guardrails of democracy.

All I know to do this morning is drink my coffee, go to work and focus on the things I can control. I will continue to fight for decency and reason! @MattieTimmer, you with me? 🇺🇸🙂

Never forget.

The love and support Atticus and I have received today has been overwhelming. Hopefully we can soon retire our Never Trump mantle, but there will always be a bond between those of us who stood for what we knew to be right. Much love to all of our Twitter family.

The harsh language that’s used by so many conservatives is very telling. Butcher, murder, mutilate…are we really trying to have an honest conversation about issues? Seems to me there’s a greater darkness there that’s fed by using these vulgar words.

I don’t often post pics of all three of my children but I was just thinking how thankful I am for them. They’ve (and Atticus) been so patient with me while I’ve struggled and changed and deconstructed and reconstructed. I’m very proud of them. ❤️

I was just thinking about the time I picked our oldest two up from middle school like this… They got in the car with someone else. 🤷🏼‍♀️😂🤡
