Invite writers to plot their stories along a timeline first. Once the events are on a timeline, can find the turning point, get rid of parts, and THEN transfer to a story arc. @hareematifkhan #tcrwp

The next coming weeks are going to be hard for a good many people, especially kids. Be patient with them. Be kind. Tell them they'll be ok. But stay firm on social distancing. (Years of social media and video games has kind of prepared them for this anyway, no?)

SO proud of these five who ran for Student Council today. Speeches were thoughtful and well-planned. These five showed bravery and confidence as they took the stage in front of their peers! Swipe to see our winners!! #studentcouncil #youngleaders #gbsstudentcouncil

We’ve gone Greek! Over the next several weeks, we will be indulging in the Greek world! This week, we used our Percy Jackson novel as a tool to hunt for words containing Greek and Latin roots. Knowing these roots helps students make meaning to new words. Proud! #interdisciplinary

Cards and gifts have been delivered! One nurse shared how thankful she was as the unit is very full today. Thank you 4th grade friends for helping to spread some love to some kiddos who could really use it! ❤️

Last Xmas Eve, my little one was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia and we spent Xmas in her hospital room. The experience was humbling and it opened my eyes. The kids spent time making cards for the ped unit at the Elliott Hospital, and I will deliver them on Christmas! ❤️

What a day! Round 2 and 3 of the egg drop were so much fun! Mason and Brady were our classroom winners, and theirs survived the drop from the roof of the school! 🥚
