Today, I used #Choralcounting counting to introduce the concept of multiplication with hundreds. This led to our discussion of Today’s Number.

My favorite way to introduce adding integers to my 6th graders! Students worked together to solve real life scenarios and come up with patterns and connections they noticed when adding integers! #middleschoolmath

Questions while reading Building Thinking Classrooms- is the lesson plan on pg 291 what every class looks like? Do we still work with small groups for targeted instruction? When do we include manipulatives? (loving the book so far btw!!) @pgliljedahl #thinkingclassroom

I was in a Grade 9 class on Friday and gave them this task which gave them lots of opportunities to show their algebraic thinking. More details in this blog post: themathguy.blogspot.com/2022…

4th and 5th grade had small groups working on the ORIGO cards as a carousel activity. It was neat to see the different ways groups solved the problems and vocab included in their responses! @LCPS_Math
Did you know PDF versions of the ORIGO Think Tank problem solving cards are in your Schoology math curriculum group? In the main math folder, they are located in the yellow LCPS Resources folder! I loved hearing students thinking in Ms. Kante’s 3rd grade class! @LCPS_Math
