Students in second grade are working on a cool project! They read about Helen Keller, and learned about how she read Braille. They used the 3D printer and learned how to create in Tinkercad to print keychains with their names in Braille! #d60learns @D60HolmesTech

We are failing our children. Guns are now the leading cause of death for children in the U.S.
Michelle and I mourn with the students and families of the Covenant School today.

According to the CDC, accidents are the leading cause of death for children and adolescents.
The claim that guns are the leading cause of death for children would only be true if children under 1 are excluded and 18 and 19 year olds are counted as children.

In Chicago, the approximate times are 5:30 AM until 7 PM. As we gain a few minutes of daylight each day, the time spent fasting get longer as the month of Ramadan progresses. Younger children get very excited to want to try to wake up with their families early
