Fantastic opportunity for online supported study during the Easter holidays to prepare for the SQA exams. There are many subjects on offer and here are the dates for Graphic Communication pupils:
Huge well done to Keychained who set up a trade stall to sell their customised laser printed keyrings to students & staff at @ncanarkshire. They managed to sell 80% of their stock and have gained valuable insights into how to develop their product going forward. @YE_Scotland
S2 pupils had a fantastic trip to @ncanarkshire yesterday. They developed their knowledge of CAD in the workplace and they were given the opportunity to model a house in @AutodeskRevit and adapt a part for a working motor in @Autodesk Inventor. #CAD@CalderheadHS@CalderheadTech
Come along and support our young people and their businesses at thus year's trade fair at New College Lanakrshire, Motherwell on Friday 7th February. Pupils will be selling their goods between 12 and 4pm! All welcome! #youngenterprise@CalderheadHS
Well done to one of our senior YE companies, Cushtie Coasters, for organising a successful fundraising event! The boys managed to secure some much needed start-up capital for their company! Thanks to @CalderheadHS HT Mr Robertson who was referee this afternoon π @YE_Scotland
Supported Study opportunities available to all S4 to S6 pupils in the Faculty of Technologies starting this week. We will be running sessions on Graphic Communication, Practical Electronics and Practical Woodwork. We look forward to supporting you all! @CalderheadHS
Senior pupils attended the @YE_Scotland North Lanarkshire launch event this morning at @AirdrieoniansFC stadium. Fantastic opportunity to help get their journey as entrepreneurs off to a great start! @CalderheadHS@dyw_hs
Good luck to all of our N5, Higher and Advanced Higher Graphic Communication pupils sitting their exam today. The Technical department are all behind you! You will do great!! @CalderheadHS
Pupils learned about gears and built their own Lego models to generate electricity. Everyone got quite competitive when testing which gear design could generate the most electricity in a short 20 second timeframe.
We're excited for our first #TeenTech Festival in Scotland tomorrow at @UniStrathclyde! Hundreds of students from the region will join us for hands-on science, tech and engineering activities with local, national and global companies and organisations.

The final results for the cardboard stands were amazing with only 90 minutes to design and build. Mr Clarke was invited to pick a winner - well done to Nadia Ozga, who managed to design a stand that allowed the phone to swivel between landscape and portrait mode! #designthinking
