There is nothing in this world that a random hug from a child at 8:40am won’t cure.
Rough day today but thinking about that little cherub and how excited she was to see me this morning is why I will show up again tomorrow (and the next day.. and the next..) 💛
(This is a reminder to all you school psychs that you mean a lot to someone in your building(s), even on days when you might have trouble believing that’s true)
Many of our kids and colleagues will be anxious walking back into schools tomorrow. While words are difficult to explain the horrific events of today, here is something to help guide the conversations
Today’s questions from third graders during an observation:
“Are you the principal?”
“Are you going to be here in our class for, like, a while?”
“Can I have a hug?”
Phew, this positivity was such a nice breath of fresh air. Office Hours was much needed this evening. Thanks for a great chat @jkellyphd and @_charlesbarrett !
