Reminder for teachers: kids need to hear positive things about themselves from their teacher. If you share things that the child needs to work on, you must share things they are doing well.

Finale of our volume and surface area unit! Student must find the V and SA of the presents. At the end of the day, I’ll draw correct answers and students earn the gift inside!

To say that the last few days have been hard is an understatement. Parenting is hard, teaching is hard, but I truly appreciated seeing this on a Ss shirt today. It’s a great reminder that even though it’s hard sometimes,we’ve got to stick to our own beliefs and do what’s right.
My teacher ❤️ is exploding today as we embark on our first day of CGI in 7th grade math! Learning strategies from each other and hearing their thinking has just floored me today. #phmsteach

Here's to all the teachers who are flying under the radar... not getting much attention. Their engaging lessons aren’t on Twitter. Their cool interactions with kids aren’t captured on YouTube. But they’re still crushing it. And they’re making a difference for a lot of students.
