Yesterday instead of Valentine’s boxes my sweet #1stgraders decorated bags. One side was decorated however they wanted & the other was decorated by their peers. I was so impressed with how intentional they were with what they chose to say about their classmates ❤️ @GallberryFarm

My #firstgraders @GallberryFarm have been learning about making predictions. After a discussion about #GroundhogDay2023 we made a prediction about whether or not the groundhog would see his shadow. Looks like 6 more weeks of winter for us! 🥶

Just met a “retired a long time ago” reading teacher. I asked for her best tip for encouraging kids to read.
“Well,” she says, “I had a big, burly guy carry a claw foot bathtub into my classroom and declared it the Reading Tub. After that, kids fought to climb in & read.” 🛁 📚
