Was sick at the end of the last week on my birthday and ended up missing a field trip. Got some birthday cards that I really needed today that reminded me of my why. 5th grade is the best grade.

We kicked off our nonfiction unit today by analyzing text features! After close reading, each group had to choose a text feature in the article and explain why the author included it and what information could be learned from it. They crushed it!
