We have been learning about story writing. To help this week each student created a story using puppets. On Friday we had a puppet show. #myCISB #HWEO

We have been learning about authors and illustrators and how they work together to create meaning. Today each student wrote a story, they then gave it to their partner who drew the picture. Students had to ensure the picture and text matched. #myCISB #HWEO #grade1

Lately we have been giving our students multiple options for when they finish their work. Today they could complete a harder work, make their own, work in their busy book or read. Having lots of options helps the room stay quiet as others finish and allows choice. #myCISB #grade1
